Case Dismissed! We are thrilled to share another major victory at Murphy & Baker Law Firm! 🎉 Our team successfully obtained a dismissal of a felony drug possession charge for our client. The Case:Our client, a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for minor traffic violations, faced a second-degree felony drug charge, with possible prison time of 20 years, after officers discovered 5.25 grams of a substance initially field-tested as methamphetamine. Despite this, our client maintained it was simply a common drink mix.We stood steadfast in defending our client, and after further investigation, we were able to prove our client's innocence and obtain a full and complete dismissal of the felony. At Murphy & Baker, we stand strong for our clients!

Yesterday brought relief as justice prevailed! Our client, JWW, was declared 'not guilty' on all counts by a Smith County jury after enduring 26 months under the shadow of a felony assault charge. The jury saw what the District Attorney's office couldn't: the truth. The alleged victim's lies were exposed, vindicating JWW who repeatedly asserted his innocence. Despite repeated efforts to correct this grave mistake, even with the alleged victim’s assistance, the prosecution persisted. But today, JWW walks free. #JusticePrevails #NotGuilty
